According to Anza-Borrego's Natural History Association, the season has been dry in 2018, so there haven't been as many blooms as usual. However, several varieties of cactus are beginning to bud, and if there's enough rain, we might get the gorgeous display of pink, purple, and even yellow that the abronia and primroses usually display in the fields.
