If I could rate my experience with Marlene the hairstylist a "0", I totally would! I got home about 2 hours ago and saw the back of my head for the first time and cried. When I first arrived, she greeted me and asked me to show her pictures of what I wanted. I showed her pictures of medium to long bobs and she said that we could totally do that but that the front of my hair wasn't long enough to get the full effect of the angled bob. I appreciated her honesty. I've had my hair cut with her once before and never had an issue.
So she cut my hair dry and then took me to the shampoo station to wash my hair to then blow dry and style it. During the blow drying/styling process she asked me a couple of times "do you like it?" I said yes because I was facing the mirror and could only see the front of my hair. Not once did Marlene, spin the chair around or gave me a mirror to look at the back of my head. Not once! When she asked twice if I was happy I got a bad feeling. I knew the back of my head was going to be a disaster. I'm including pictures of my haircut.
I'm distraught and have some events coming up and I don't know how to fix this. I may have to get extensions put in to even out this mess. I don't want to go any shorter.
I'm so disappointed. My family members are telling me to call the salon but I'm not a confrontational person but this is just unacceptable.
I don't know what happened to Marlene today but I'm so upset it was my hair that was ruined

Awesome Hair salon... Marline did my hair for a blow dry and she did an amazing job . I highly recommend this place and her services.

I'm so happy I found this place! I called the salon on Thursday morning, and they immediately fit me in into a same day appointment! My hairdresser was Marlene, she is wonderful ! I went into salon with nothing in mind, just wanting to get rid of all the split ends at the end of my hair. Marlene does dry cut on me , which takes a lot of skills.
The reason why I gave a 4 Star instead of 5 is because Marlene is very rough, but you know what they said ... " no pain no gain" lol.
My hair was almost 6 in shorter after the cut. Its a bit shorter than I m used to, but it LOOKS AMAZING ! The cost of the cut was $20 with $5 tip. I think it's totally worth it !
Highly recommended, and will definitely be back !

This hair boutique is AMAZING. I don't usually do yelp reviews but everyone needs to know about this place. I was a walk-in and was immediately tended to. Gina was the one who cut and blow dried my hair. She is the best! After my cut I wanted to get some products and they helped me pick out ones perfect for my hair. I recommend this place 10000%

My daughter had a Botox treatment at QOD in Miller and her hair changed color. The top of her head ended up light brown and the bottom portion brown. Before she walked it her color was black. They refuse to fix her hair color because she didn't have it colored there. Never did they mention that the Botox treatment would change or discolor her hair. Not only would they not own up to their mistake but they refuse to correct it. Buying beware, they really don't care how you look and feel. I gave them another opportunity and went in and spoke with the manager, Joanna. Same response, customer satisfaction is not there concern. We won't be back.

I visited this place for the first time today. My appointment was at 11am and I was seen at the exact time. I was scheduled with Cindy. I had like 3 different colors on my hair when I went in. I explained that I wanted to look and feel younger. I wanted my long hair cut short, but short enough to still be able to pick up my hair in a pony tail. She dyed my hair dark brown and added highlights (she let me choose the color of highlights and said her professional suggestions). They came out gorgeous. The total came out to $295 (it was a lot for me)...but she did do a miracle to my hair (she even put treatment on my hair)...so it was worth it. Cindy is very professional, responsible, doesn't talk much but I love that! I will be coming back to retouch.
P.S. She patiently fixed my hair for 4 hours. She was awesome.

My mother and I got our hair cut by Kristina and were absolutely thrilled with the final product. I rarely get short hair cuts but wanted to try something new, and Kristina did not disappoint! She is new to the salan and fits right it. She talked me through the hair cut and was very observant. Thank you Kristina, we will be going back for sure!

This is my third time at the hair salon. I did the keratin treatment completed by suyen. She was super sweet and struck up some conversation with me. She complimented me on my natural hair color. While she was doing my hair, she was brushing it and hit my ear piercing a couple of times but apologized and made sure to be careful when ironing it afterwards. I was really happy with the service and made sure to leave her a nice tip

I had a groupon for a mani pedi and I called to make an appointment. QOD has two locations, one of bird and one on miller and the groupon I purchased was for the Bird location and it was closed on Monday. I explained to the lady I needed the manicure for today since the next day I had an interview. She was so understanding and so helpful she made the appointment for me for later on today. I went inside and it was clean and chic. They had good music playing very chilled and very mellow, exactly what you want to listen to while you are being pampered. I was with a nice lady named Marlene who only worked on Mondays and she was brilliant. She did an amazing job with filing, cutting, everything. She gave me a good mani pedi and my hands and feet feel refreshed. The chairs are big cushy arm chairs with pillows and you sink in and allow the manicurists to do their work. They soak your feel in a hot soapy tub of water(no massage or jets for the feet) it's much cleaner that way. All in all great experience and a great deal. I felt welcomed and was provided awesome service.

I'm back with an update after having spent the entire day at this salon. For starters, I showed Yoana a photo two weeks ago and mentioned a detail about a streak of natural grey hair that I wanted to keep. When Zayonara saw me this morning, she knew exactly who I was and exactly what I wanted, right down to the detail of the streak! (Boom! Points!) As the morning progressed, not once was I left alone; everyone is so friendly. (More points!!) I developed a headache and Yoana went to the bakery next door, brought me pastries and a soda to drink. (Is this real life? POINTS!)
Now, to the business of the update for this review: My hair appointment. One word. ZAYONARA. As long as you: don't have black hair and want to go platinum in one day, have patience and have about 8 hours to sacrifice to the Countess of Color, get in line for an experience with this artist. I let her at it. Told her to just go and allowed her to be as creative as she wanted to be. I am speechless, still. She truly executed. I have not stopped looking in the mirror, because every time I look at my hair, I see a spectrum of different colors blending together perfectly. The cut was exactly what I wanted, as well. I never, ever write reviews but I feel a need to after the experience I had this past Sunday. On a positive note, I called in the early afternoon and they fit me in that same day despite closing at 4pm. I got a root touch up and haircut with Silvia. She did a good job finding the right color and the touch up came out well. The haircut however, was another story. I asked for long layers and ended up with so much of my hair being chopped off and extremely uneven layers. Since I did not have my hair blow dried the full extent of the awful cut was not fully noticeable until later. I typically am of the mind frame of "it's just hair and itll grow back" but others were shocked and commented at how choppy the cut was. I had to go elsewhere to have it fixed and ended up with way shorter hair than I wanted. I've truly never had an experience like this before and hope never to again.

The atmosphere at this salon is great, the energy is fun and inviting and the prices are just right!

I made an appointment with Kristine for a haircut and couldn't have been more happy! I was also convinced to do the keratin treatment and I don't regret it at all. Kristine is extremely kind and patient with her clients. I love how she takes her time and isn't in a rush to just get the job done. She's constantly asking for feedback to make sure you're happy with the results. I will keep booking my appointments with Kristine because she truly cares about your satisfaction and works diligently!
