Mimi is a God-send. She took my hair to the next level and healed my soul at the same time. I came in to the salon broken and did not even realize my state. Literally with Mimi's care, dedication and techniques she did a Balayage that was out of this world amazing. Not to mention if you are looking for fun Hispanic atmosphere, this place is a Mecca of laughter, coffee and celebration of women. I am so grateful for my experience, Mimi is an expert at what she does, her staff is top notch and you will not be disappointed. Just keep your mind open. The best hair stylist in Miami hands down. Not only is her work truly AMAZING, but her prices are to reasonable. You cannot be them for this service she delivers. You'll end up paying double for the same work at most places in Miami. I learned about Mimi from a friend posting on Instagram. Since I was interested in eventually doing my hair, I followed her account (mimistouch). All her works is stunning and she's a hairgician (hair + magician, get it? lol). When I finally decided on what it is that I wanted, I booked my appointment with Mimi for balayage. By the way, my idea I got from her IG posts.

I walked in and I was welcomed with open arms. Mimi and her staff made me feel right at HOME. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and told her I wanted a change but not drastic. She totally understood and started me off subtle. Mimi suggested how I should cut my hair too because I also wanted to trim it down. She also suggested what I should go with next time (and indefinite) I retouch which is actually exactly the final look I am trying to achieve. For now, I'll get used to the light change. She did a natural balayage look this first time around. For balayage expect to be there 4-5 hours. The turnout is absolutely stunning and I will never let her go!

Mimi's Touch Salon is a friendly salon that provides women's haircuts at a fair price - esp. For Miami.

I've been twice, and both times, I wanted a standard cut - A few inches off to remove the dead ends & to keep the layering. (Nothing too exciting.) Mimi did my cut both times & I was happy with the cuts both times. She's also fast once you're in her chair. You can be in and out fairly fast - which I liked.

Basic cut was $75 with Mimi. When you arrive, they offer you a complimentary drink - wine, tea, etc.

Of note, Mimi speaks mostly Spanish. I don't speak Spanish, but this hasn't been an issue when I've visited as we were able to communicate the essential. She asked if I wanted piquito or mucho off & I noted I wanted layering & she understood. She's a sweetheart too.

Mimi is an incredible artist and person. My mother introduced me to her after I got a terrible hair job at another salon and she was able to turn my disaster of hair into a beautiful masterpiece. She is an innovative artist and gave me the idea to try the most beautiful gold rose hair during the summer, which had so many people complementing me in the elegance and modern style. Now for the month of December, she did the most beautiful color blend on my hair, she did a balayage and highlights in a beautiful caramel, brown and blonde mix. I had two people stop me and asked me where I got my hair done! I don't know much about hair and sometimes I think that I know best; however Mimi is a master at hair and gives me her best advice while considering my wants... she never disappoints!

Mimi is an artist! And so is everyone that works there. From the moment that I walked in they treated me like family and when I left, I left knowing that I had found my perfect salon.

My hair was a huge disaster from all the chemicals and dyes I had put in it, but Mimi managed to give me the result I wanted.

I knew what I wanted. I got what Mimi wanted.

Mimi didn't take an after picture of me so I did. It's included in this review. See for yourself. I plan to keep sharing it. If I have see Bozo every time I look in the mirror for 2 months - so will Mimi.

My hair is curly. I know how it has to be cut to look good. I showed Mimi a photo. Explained, "I want a long layered bob. I do not blow dry. Please, don't cut too short as it will cut off the winglet curls". I even used an interpreter to ensure that there was no miscommunication.

BUT...I got a lopsided, short layered cut, NO Bob. Lots of waves but bottom winglet curls - GONE, hair cut too short. I have to pin sides back because hair is sticking straight out and is lopsided. None of the layers blend in because she cut chunks of hair out. When I look in the mirror I see Bozo the clown.

What truly upset me about my horrible hair cut by Mimi is the beautiful work she had done with others. But, their hair was straight. She was so friendly when I walked in and so sweet. However, like a bad boyfriend, she did what she wanted and didn't care about what I wanted. Don't want that in a boyfriend, don't want in a stylist.

Before I left the shop they knew I was unhappy. Mimi didn't say I'm sorry just kept saying how beautiful I looked. Again, reminiscent of a bad boyfriend, telling me she was right and I was wrong, that she knew better than me how my hair should be - made me more frustrated. Ok, since I look so beautiful, I'm plastering social media with my "after-shot" from Mimi's.

Was told my money will be returned in seven days. Thank you. But every time I look in the mirror I get upset. She won't even remember that payment. I would have to cut off all my hair and get a pixie to even off choppy layers.

"No, Claudia - not 1/2 inch, at lease 3. 5 inches according to my coworkers". At work not 1 person said anything good about this drastic change. Don't think I've ever wrote a review before. I hope this will show Mimi the importance of listening to her clients. I don't want anyone to have to go through a bad cut like this.

Mimi really has a special touch She and her crew are very personable and the moment you walk into the salon you feel this immediate sense of peace and tranquility. Mimi is a perfectionist and she goes above and beyond and her work ethic is incredible. She is Extremely talented and passionate about all aspects of hair. She does amazing color, highlights and hair cut. Every single time she's Highlights and cuts my hair I get compliments for weeks. The salon is extremely clean and everyone there is always smiling and laughing. It is a beautiful joyful place. Mimi and her staff are EXCELLENT. They are detailed, patient and perfectionists in their craft. I stumbled upon this salon on Yelp and gave it a try. As soon as I walked in for hair botox, they all made me feel at home. I went back a week later for a dye & highlight melt, and the treatment was just as superb. Mimi is a hard-working, positive woman on top of ALL her clients! She is simply amazing. Claudia at the front desk is the sweetest and the rest of the staff goes above and beyond! I cannot thank Mimi enough for transforming my hair and making me feel beautiful again. After a summer bleaching disaster done by another salon I tried to look for a good stylist to fix my hair.. I couldn't find one and eventually my roots grew out so much it was disgusting.

I've only lived in Miami 2 years and have not been able to find a stylist and salon I love... especially when there are so many options and people claiming they are the best. After my transformation I will never go to another stylist. Mimi was so sweet and understanding. I let her do her own thing w/ my hair and the results were amazing. The front desk was very friendly and the stylist who helped Mimi also did a fantastic job.

Mimi and her girls always welcome you into the salon warmly and leave you feeling beautiful and cared for. Mimi, the owner, is a charismatic, friendly, and very knowledgeable hairdresser. She cuts effortlessly and very well. I came to her after I had gotten my long hair cut short at another place that left it without much style and she fixed it right away. I have curly hair and it's not the easiest to cut. She truly cares how you are doing and how you feel when you are in her chair. She devotes her attention fully or each client. Went to this salon since it's near to my home it was my first time going and I was very impressed by the service that was given to me. Also, the Prices are good but, overall the service that Mimi personally gives you is amazing, she first listens to what you have in mind, and then gives her opinion which helps for the best outcome. I had a bit of a hair emergency because my boyfriend "helped me" with a bleach job at home. It did not go well. The next day I searched for a nearby salon to get the disaster fixed and Mimi's Touch was the first that appeared and had amazing reviews. Now I know why.

Very welcoming staff and Mimi is one of a kind. She saw what I was dealing with and completely transformed my hair. She is super sweet and friendly, and a perfectionist with a passion for what she does.

I made a last minute, same day appointment and even though the process took a while it was worth it. This is not a typical salon; it's a family environment where everyone has known each other for years and they welcome newbies with open arms.

My first experience at this salon was great. I got gel manicure and pedicure done by Ali. Ali has been my go-to when it comes to my nails. The first time Ali has done my nails was for my senior year prom and four years later she is the only person I go too. The decor in this salon is beautiful and has beautiful quoting on the walls. The furniture is modern and adds a very cute theme to the salon. Mimi, the owner, greeted me with the most welcoming smile and hug. She said "Welcome and thank you for coming. This is like your home now you are always welcomed here". From there on, I enjoyed the rest of my relaxing day. If you check out their Instagram, you will see how great Mimi is with hair! I have been using Mimi for about 1 year now and she is truly a wonderful and talented hairdresser. I have tried numerous hair stylists in Miami and could not find one that could make my curly fine hair look good. But Mimi worked miracles and cut my hair to make it look fuller. She is a miracle worker who can work with any hair type and style. My hair is so much healthier now and Mimi showed me how to style my curls. Mimi does all her own haircuts and spends a lot of time on her work. I could never go anywhere else again and I highly recommend Mimi to anyone looking for an amazing hairstylist.
