I've been going to Hisham for many years as he is simply the best. He is extremely professional but makes you feel like family when you enter either of his locations. His staff are attentive and friendly.

This was a very mediocre salon. I got highlights there a few years ago and they weren't well with following my direction and did it very stripey. It was not a personal experience and they are not a really "hip" or "trendy" salon and not good with the current hair trends. Very over priced for what it is. Most importantly, do NOT give them your email. It has been over three years and they consistently send me emails when I've called mulitple times and asked them to take me off the list. Very annoying. If you are looking for a balayage or trendy cut stay away! This salon bribes clients to review so be wary.

Update-- if your employees are not able to take me off the list why did they verbally tell me they just took me off? I've clicked unsubscribe multiple times. I'm sorry but the truth is you tell your clients they will get discounts if they post good reviews. Your salon is for older women who don't know any better and is not up to par with Miami salons. Good luck on your business.

It's a bit pricy, but you're paying for QUALITY and Location! Speaking of location, I suggest to Uber there to save yourself some time. The area is under construction and is in a busy place (literally right in front of CocoWalk) It took me a good 15 minutes to find parking. Most of the street parking has been taken away due to construction leaving you with the garages. During peak times such as Lunch can be FULL.

It's not the Salon's fault, obviously. But plan ahead and be punctual!

Update 10/26 - I was called within an hour of posting to come in so they could rectify the mistake. Coral gables is pretty far from me, so it took a couple of weeks. Maria did my nails again and she was very apologetic. All of my polish had come off within three days and my toes looked a mess at that point. She spent the normal amount of time on both mani and pedi, this time not skipping out on lotion or exfoliation. She ensured every nail was dry before continuing on. It took about 9-10 days for most to come off, which is much more reasonable. The second experience was much more enjoyable, but I still don't feel I should have to had to come back at all.

TL; DR - spent $50 in a Groupon, charged $25 to upgrade to gel. Given a really rushed service that was missing huge steps in a normal mani pedi experience. Toes came out uneven and gel manicure chipped in less than two days.

I purchased a Groupon for hair by his Hisham last week and decided to redeem it at the coral gables location. Groupons are great ways to try out new places and figure out which ones to avoid. I searched and searched for reviews for their nail services and now I see why.

My appointment was early, but I was given a glass of wine while I waited. This is one of the few things that went well during my appointment.

The nail seats are upstairs and, while it looks really cute, the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. The sink is small and doesn't feel like a nice foot bath. Definitely not conducive to a fun salon experience. But stylists aren't in charge of decorating, so I was willing to let that part slide.

My appointment began at 4:30 and was done before 5:30. I have never had a full mani-pedi in less than an hour. Anywhere. And this was supposedly their signature organic experience. The foot massage with a small amount of exfoliant lasted literally 30 seconds. I counted after she did the first foot and realized that was it. She was done. My feet were stuck in a little bowl and then immediately pulled out of the water. There was no lotion applied applied. She just shoved my feet in my flip flops and started painting. I couldn't tell at the time, but she didn't even apply enough coats and you can see how unevenly it was painted. She was so rushed that she didn't even do a top coat until after my manicure.

The manicure was just as bad. My nails are all slightly uneven. I asked her to shorten two nails to make them even and one broke. The glue she put on to fix the rip wasn't even given time to dry before being painted, so of course it was the first one to come off. Cuticles were cut and everything, but I now have dried peeling skin on my fingers and again no lotion was applied to my hands nor was there any sort of hand massage.

36 hours later and I have THREE chipped nails. I spent the day at the beach with no heavy lifting so there is no way I could have ripped off or loosened them. I have NEVER had a nail chip in such a short amount of time. And these are gel. Not only that, but I asked to have gel instead with an upcharge of course. I have no problem paying the difference, but they charged me $25!!! I have a hard time believing the difference between a regular mani and gel is that much. But of course salon prices aren't listed so I can neither confirm nor deny this.

In the end, because American tipping culture is so ingrained in me I left $10. I realize now that was far, far too generous. The whole thing felt rushed and frenzied. I should have said something at the time, but I'm not a very confrontational person and at that point was just so disappointed that I wanted to leave. I don't have a ton of disposable income right now, so getting my nails done is supposed to be a treat. This wasn't. Hair by HishamIG has some beautiful cuts and colors, but I think there is a reason why they don't feature their beauty services at all.

Found this place because of a friend on a whim! We wanted to get our hairs done for a wedding we are going to. I really appreciated the kindness of the people here because we "bargained" to get our hairs done.

They stuck to their word witb the price range we were given. No blow dry. Came in with clean hair. However, my stylist gave me a free blow dry regardless!! to prevent my hair from getting more frizzy in the humidity.

Regardless-- I enjoyed the casual conversation and the hospitality! Really clean salon too. Parking can be quite tough but was lucky to find one by the street on a Saturday afternoon.

I am not a local here but was treated as such. Thank you!

So glad I trusted the Yelp reviews. Went in today for a haircut with Jamal. He instantly made me feel so comfortable it was easy to fully trust him with my hair.

He let me communicate what I wanted and gave me his feedback. He was very detailed, knowledgeable and friendly.

He fixed my hair from a very bad haircut I received 4 months prior and made my hair feel healthy and bouncy again.

I walked out feeling like a brand new woman. I love my hair again for the first time in a while. I will definitely be going back to see Jamal again and referring him to all of my friends and family

Amazing place! I came in for a hair makeover and I felt with an amazing experience. The staff was beyond friendly and loving! I loved my experience here. Jamal was you perfect discretion of your ideal hair dresser. He listened to me and gave me some great advice. They offered me wine and I felt completely pampered! He knew right away what I had in mind. The girl in the front desk was so friendly and sweet.

I would definitely recommended this place to anyone! But you get what you paid for! If you think it's too much that's because you're going to leave the salon feeling like a million bucks!
