Got my hair done by Analise yesterday and so happy with the results! Contacted Ashley through Yelp after hours of browsing for a new studio. She literally responding in less than 10 minutes! I was then referred to one of her stylists, Analise, who had availability that worked for me. After booking my appointment, the east bay went into lock down for the second time, the same week as my appointment! Analise communicated with me and once they reopened she let me know right away. I never felt like I was forgotten, which I appreciate so much especially during these unpredictable times. I know that the pandemic takes salons out of their comfort zones BUT Analise and Ashley Pollar Hair Studio made me forget the circumstances and treated me so well. I originally booked with another studio that was inconsistent and unresponsive. I'm so glad to have found this studio and the incredible Analise! I am obsessed with the way she cut and colored my hair!!!

Ashley and her teammates are amazing at what they do. During this quarantine time, Ashley has answered all your questions with taking care of your NBR extensions. Her Instagram provides short videos on up keeping your hair. You can email her a hair question and she'll respond with a video to share with you and everyone else. I never met a hair dresser who goes above and beyond to keep her clients happy/beautiful. I travel almost 2 hours to make this mommy of 3 feel brand new again. NBR Extension are a life changer!!

My hair was a mess.  I'm new to this area and was looking for a new hair girl  and I'm so delicate with my blonde hair that it took me a while to warm up to a new person but I fell in love w Analisse and Ashley (owner ) ...and the salon is beautifully decorated waiting area is one of my favorites with a Phil's coffee machine the coffee is so delish!!!       I always have at least 2cups!  every time I go there I have a great time!  Only Paul Mitchell product is used and I love that higher end product... This was my first experience with hair extensions and I cannot describe how happy I am with the results!  I wanted volume more than length, and  Ashley delivered exactly the right amount of both. My hair looks completely natural, even when I wear it up in a messy bun - but I love it so much I almost always wear it down.

I've had my extensions for a little over a month and they've been a game-changer for me. I can go from polished and professional to beachy to rockstar with nothing more than product and my blow dryer. (Actually for beachy, I just let it dry by itself - see photo.) I've had compliments from EVERYONE, and no one has asked if I have extensions. In fact, when I walked into DryBar for a blowout, I told the owner I have extensions and she literally came out from behind the counter to feel my head because she didn't believe me    

So yeah, if you've ever thought about extensions, go see Ashley. She's amazing!

Just got a bayalage done by Ashey's assistant, Analise, and let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!! I have not had my hair dyed in over 15 years so I was pretty nervous getting my Asian jet-black hair dyed to an ash-blond color.  But I am sure glad I took the plunge!  Analise knew exactly what to do with my hair so it wouldn't turn orangey-yellow.  She also explained that it will take at least two sessions to get it to the ash-blond color that I want.  But after the first session, I must say I am very happy with the results!  Analise is an expert in the field and has a wealth of experience.  She will also educate you on how to take care of your bayalage afterwards and how to keep the color looking great.  I highly recommend Analise without reservation!

I am SO VERY picky when it comes to my hair because it is my lions mane. I researched for months on a professional hair dresser that was well versed with NBRs and that had been doing them for at least a year or so. Ashely learned NBR from the creator of NBRs down in SoCal and is an EXPERT! She is not only phenomenal with NBRs but is an excellent colorist!! It so hard to find someone that knows how to lighten dark hair like mine without damaging it. There is no one else in the world that I would trust with my hair. I drive almost 45mins-1 hour just to have her style my hair. I promise you that you won't be disappointed with her. She is so honest and will tell you straight up how long it will take for you to get NBRs or the process to become blonde/ashy. And I LOVE her honesty. It's hard to find stylist that is honest and will take the utmost care of your hair. Ashley also has 2 incredible assistants that work with her and they are truly a dynamic team! They work quickly to get you in and out seamlessly!

Ashley is amazing!!! I found her looking through yelp for hair salons. Ashley & her assistant were very friendly and made me feel welcome. They also had some interesting and funny stories to share, which I enjoyed making time go by fast. I came in with virgin dark brown hair for an ashy balayage, thinking I'd be there half my day, but I was surprisingly done within 2 hours! She forsure gave me ashy and dimension! I wanted to go lighter and I knew it would take sessions, but I LOVE how my first session came out! Definitely will be coming back for another session to go lighter. Plus, my hair is still very healthy! Ashley is sooo passionate, sweet, funny and definitely loves what she does. Can't wait to go lighter in a few months!

Booked with Annelise, recommended by my sister. super last minute. I live in San Diego and was supposed to get my hair done the day before I flew to the bay for the holidays but my appointment fell through. Annelise got me in the NEXT DAY!! right after I arrived. She was easy to communicate with and was upfront about prices. Studio is cute, and I thought it was super awesome that they all help each other with clients. A few doing coloring and two at once helped dry my hair. Efficient and obviously client centered teamwork. Didn't have to explain much and Annelise fixed up my color (just a toner) and cut perfectly! I'm all set for all the holiday parties. Even better than my stylist back home! Highly recommend!

Everything the reviews say about Ashley is true!

Ashley is so amazing. Not only is she talented and skilled, but she has a great personality as well. I was looking for a place that could do NBR hair extensions in my area. She was the first place that popped up. I read the reviews and everyone had positive things to say about her, so I immediately scheduled a consultation. She was very quick to reply and we had a phone consultation after I sent her photos of my hair and what I wanted to achieve. She was informative, honest and enthusiastic (I could tell she was passionate about making clients happy). Fortunately, she managed to fit me in on Friday, the day after 4th of July.

The salon studio is a different setup than what I am used to. It's at the W Salon and Suites so when you walk in, there are a ton of small suites with hair dressers, med spas, etc. Where Ashley's studio is, there's a huge waiting area with coffee, lounge and a television. Ashley and her assistant Alassaundra greeted me and we immediately went to work. Ashley showed me the hair extensions that best matched me and asked me if I wanted my hair colored or anything, which I didn't because I wanted to keep it red. She matched my hair and extensions perfectly.

One thing to note is how accommodating and friendly Ashely and her team are. They kept asking me if I wanted a refreshment (even a mimosa) and snacks. Customer is service is top of mind for them. I felt like I knew them for years, so if customer service is important to you, you won't be disappointed here.

The hair extension process: Total time took about 3.5 hours (my own hair was not colored or highlighted) with 2.5 rows of hair extensions. They take a "before" photo and then wash your hair while the assistant is coloring your extensions. That took about 45 minutes or so. Then Ashley began to sew in the "tracks" with the beads. This did not take long. After she sewed them in, that's when she started putting the hair wefts on the track. The whole process did not hurt me (but maybe I have a tough scalp). It feels tight at first and heavy, but that's it. There's no pain. After Ashley got all the hair in, she cuts it so that your real hair and new hair blends well. After she put two tracks in, Ashley decided to put another half row in because I have so much hair. So if you have lots of hair or thick hair, you might need an extra half row. After she was done cutting, they curled my hair and took the "after" photo. It's beautiful! I have shorter hair and she blended it well so that the extensions don't look obvious.

The length is shocking at first (even though I've had long hair like this before long ago), but Ashley insisted I keep the length because I might regret it later. She recommends keeping the length for a week or so to get used to it and if I still want it cut, she's happy to do so. So far, I love the length! Once everything is done, Ashley gives you a Wet Brush, some shampoo and conditioner and instructions on how to care for them. She also gave me some advice and product on how to cover my little grays on the top of my head. She is so awesome!

I washed it for the first time last night and it was easy. I've had tape-in extensions before and it's very difficult to wash them, plus you have to dry them immediately because tape-ins can't be wet for long. You also can't blow dry tape-ins for too long because of the glue. Such a nuisance. But NBR is opposite! Shampooing and conditioning was easy. I wasn't paranoid with blow drying and it although it took longer because I have so much more hair, it was easy to do overall. I can also wear them in a ponytail without anything showing and braid it! These are amazing! Everyone who has seen them are amazed at the blending, the quality and the color.

Overall, I highly recommend NBR as THE hair extensions method to go for (I will never use anything else) and I highly, HIGHLY recommend Ashley to do them for you. She is just so great and I am so glad I found her. I guarantee you will love her too.

First things first...I have to tell you all, I have never walked out of a hair appointment completely satisfied...until today.   I cannot even explain how elated I am feeling having exactly what I wanted done with my hair, actually being done.

I don't know how many times I've left salons feeling so disappointed, only to later go home and try to "fix" it myself. Too many times to count.

This experience was the complete opposite. Not only did Ashley fix what another stylist had done improperly (the stylist fried my hair then did extensions that she sold as nbr, but come to find out, they were not), she far exceeded my expectations. The color, the cut, then the install of the nbr extensions...flawless.

I cannot stop touching my hair and I feel like I want to just sit in front of the mirror and stare at it.  I'm not exaggerating. It's beautiful. And it makes me feel so beautiful.

Thank you Ashley and Annalise(sp?) for the work you did today.  I am so so so glad I found you and will never go elsewhere again.
